TRADITIONAL TREATMENT METHODS AND VARIOUS APPLICATION USED IN INFERTILITY: ISPARTA REGION

Summary/Abstract: The fertility is the guarantee of the continuity of the human race and the descent, as in other living things. For this reason, as a phenomenon thought to be necessary both instinctively and culturally, fertility is a situation where societies attach importance and look for a various remedies in case of absence, from past to present. To increase fertility, many material and spiritual methods have been tried in the past and are being tried today, such as prayer, magic, votive practice, various rituals and several applications with herbal mixture. Although these practices are now largely replaced by modern medical treatment methods, it appears that traditional methods of treatment and applications continue to exist and are used before modern cure and during modern cure. In this study, it was evaluated traditional methods using women in modern treated in Isparta today and the place of these methods in the modern medical treatment process, with anthropological perspective.
