The Effect Of Wattpad On Female Students That Have Traıned In Hıgh School

Summary/Abstract: The world is in a rapid transformation. Social media networks accelerate this process further. The social media networks we meet with each passing day are becoming more effective by penetrant into life. Open social media networks, which are visible to public young and old alike, have become an indispensable part of society. The concept of “sharing” on the basis of social media is usually written content. People share their situations, emotions, or achievements with million people. One of the social media networks used for this purpose is Wattpad which was established in 2006. Wattpad is heavy-duty social media network which mostly used by high school teenagers. Despite the increasing number of users every day on the world and in Turkey, there is not much research on Wattpad. This study investigates the effect of Wattpad on female high school students (aged 14-18). The main questions of the study are why Wattpad has an influence on female students studying in high school and why girls use this application.
