Especially in consequence of the war industry developed under the influence of the Industrial Revolution and weapon technology, there were successively two world wars in the 20th century; the rise of fascism in Europe has resulted in the slaughter of millions of people. The World Wars in the history of human for the first time have caused the great depression and emptiness in human life especially with the use of the atom bomb in the Second World War. The dominance of capital all over the world, the acceleration of globalization and the phenomenon of commodification increase alienation among individuals. Application of individualistic lifestyle being able to accomplish the aim of capitalism which is to get more profit and more sales of product results in “The Decline of Individual Due to Individualism” with Horkheimer’s words.
