Summary/Abstract: Competently organized personnel management system helps to achieve the company business-objectives. The best result is achieved when using the training systems in the staff management. Among approaches to the corporate education management recently the distance (electronic) learning technology is becoming more relevant. Large companies with extensive branch networks solve the problem of employee training in the classical way: they conduct internal classroom training or delegate specialists to seminars conducted by training organizations. However, these methods are not always effective for a number of reasons, including the cost of classroom training, a high degree of staff rotation in a number of sectors of the economy, the incompetence of third – party specialists in the specifics of a particular company. The best option for improving the personnel of the organization on the basis of its training is the introduction of the enterprise distance learning system. To date, the practice of corporate education has not developed a unified approach to the use of the term "distance learning". Along with the concept of "distance learning" (DL), the concept of "electronic distance learning" (EDL) or " distance electronic learning" (DEL) is often used. At the same time, in any of these cases we are talking about the practice of corporate training using information databases using information technology and telecommunications networks, involving indirect interaction of the subjects of the educational process. This article discusses the following issues: implementation of the corporate learning management system based on the distance technologies, diagnostics of problems and identification of training needs, management of the staff professional development through the distance learning. The conclusion is made that the properly structured process or training employees fits naturally into the personnel management system: if the system of personnel training is focused on development of those skills that enhance work efficiency, it directly or indirectly contributes to achievement of the company business-objectives and professional goals of employees.
