Summary/Abstract: Considered the characteristics and basic principles of distance education. Analyzed the functioning of the system of remote business education (SDB) on the territory of the Russian Federation and abroad. Produced secondary analysis of data of Federal service of state statistics of the Russian Federation, the results of which assessed the relevance of remote business education. Conclusions about the benefits and prospects of development of distance education in Russia.
