Summary/Abstract: Zeytinli island is located in the southern part of the Sea of Marmara, approximately 250 m. away from the coast of Erdek county of Balıkesir province. This island, which has a history of 2300 years, offers a mosaic structure including Helen-Roman-Byzantine and Ottoman periods. The issue of working was revealed in the excavations carried out between 2007 and 2011; 18 are female, 37 are male, 11 are infant and child and 60 of which the sex is unknown, jaws and teeth belonging to 126 individuals. The purpose of the research is to determine the dental caries in the individuals belonging to the Zeytinli island community, compared to the dental caries observed in other societies living in Anatolia, this period is to provide more enlightenment in terms of oral health, nutrition and environmental conditions.
