Summary/Abstract: The ancient city of Dara, which is dated to the late Roman period, is located within the borders of the present Oğuz village, 30 km south of Mardin province. Dara ancient city's name take of from the first Persian king Darius. The subject of the research is the anthropological analysis of the materials of the human skeletons excavated from the excavation site of Dara ancient city necropolis built by the Mardin Museum Directorate in 2010 and 2011. As a result of archeological excavations in Dara ancient city, it was examined the paleodemographic distribution of the human skeleton. Dara has a total of 216 individuals, 27 of which are female, 73 are male, 2 are adolescents, 32 are children, 6 are infants and 76 are uncertain.
