Summary/Abstract: Elements of folklore included in the folk science, are values which have survived until today by people turning the knowledge they learn by experience for ages into traditions and transferring these traditions from one generation to other generation. The concept of folklore comprises various subjects such as the folk architecture, folk cuisine, folk medicine, folk economics, folk botany, folk mathematics, folk calendar, which has been transferred to today verbally and still maintain their persistence in society. We should state that in the transfer of folklore into today, in addition to verbal transmission of knowledge, applied transmission and transmission via written sources has an important role. At this point, in the transfer of cultural elements and public information products, some of the notable written resources of their period, the village novels which are prominent in Republic Period Turkish Literature have an important role.
