Summary/Abstract: The author describes the history of the Czech immigration to Croatia, in particular to the area of the Bjelovar-Bilogora County. Their social and political positions, as well as cultural and education-related life are presented, the latter being particularly marked by the activities of Češka beseda, association formed in 1907 in Daruvar and Prekopakra. The emigration and remigration processes are studied especially from the angle of changes of the social and political regimes in the period between the foundation of the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes and today.
