THE CASTLE OF BINGOL, GENÇ (SEBETERIA?)

Summary/Abstract: Bingöl province, Archeology and Art History are among the cities where sufficient studies have not been done in terms of branches of science. The ancient artifacts found in the main field of study of these sciences require extraordinary field or field studies from the literature study. For this reason, one of the most important study methods of both areas is surface survey and the other is excavation studies. Despite the fact that many excavation sand surface surveys were conducted in Turkey, no excavation work has been done in the province of Bingol. Surface surveys consist of several studies covering a few limited periods and fields. The scarcity of such scientific studies led to thefact that the historical works in the province of Bingol were not brought to the sufficient light and the studies about Bingol history and works were wrong and incomplete.
