Summary/Abstract: This study was conducted to determine the attitudes and behaviours of use of social networking sites of Bingöl University students. The data obtained from the study, face to face interviews with students was collected through a survey. A total of 371 pieces questionnaires were made. As a result of the evaluation, it was determined that students’ families have internet connectivity at 59,8%, and that students use facebook at 81,1%. Social network used by the students have been demonstrated to use for more chat and for the exchange of information. While the ratio of the students who stated that their socilla relationships incresead at the result of social network usage was calculated as 21,0% the ration of the ones who were neuter were 12,4%. When looking at the negative aspects of social networking students, 8.9% of the participents stated that they lost relationship with their environments, while 5,1% of them stated that social networks caused addiction.
