Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this research is to understand how much of the basic learning outcome obtained during the choir trainings by the freshman and senior students of Music Teaching can be put into practice and determine the awareness level between these two groups. First grade (N = 31) and fourth grade (N = 27) students who were selected for the research were informed about what a ‘metaphor’ was and how they defined choral education by survey. The surveyed questionnaires were analyzed through the processes of determination and classification of metaphors, category development and percentage and frequency calculation. As a result of the research, it was revealed that the answers of the first year students did not fully comply with the items like ‘Technical Skills in Choir Education’ and ‘Values and Attitudes in Choir Education’ and the answers of the fourth grade students were completely compatible with these values and attitudes, which shows that the senior students get the choral training in a proper system. However, since the metaphor analysis study is not directed to measuring technical skills, it cannot determine whether the elements of ‘technical skills in choir training’ are conducted entirely properly or not.
