The role of investor relations in the proper development of modern enterprises

Summary/Abstract: Processes of market transformation of modern enterprises and their functioning on the integrating financial market require actions aiming at keeping competitive advantage, which determines their development. Appropriate investor relations assure making development decisions and financing them according to the logic of the market economy. In order to keep stable and long-term access to capital, enterprises have to appoint new investor relations which enable to reduce the asymmetric information and conflict of interests of various groups of market participants (e.g. between shareholders and managers). This paper presents the main objectives and scope of investor relations with regard to features of current theories of enterprise and requirements of capital market.
