KOLEKSİYON FİGÜRÜ SERGİLEME ÜNİTELERİNDE TASARIM KRİTERLERİ
DESIGN CRITERIA OF COLLECTIBLE FIGURE DISPLAY

Summary/Abstract: Collection products belonging to the characters in the cinema and comic story are produced by the companies specialized in their fields and collected by the collectors. These products, which are similar to the character drawing on the comic strip and playing as an actor/actress on cinema, make a serious profit for the producers with their wide market share and become a means of personal satisfaction for the collectors. Designing the displaying units and displaying styles of figures increases the aesthetical value of the collection. In this study, certain design criteria which can be used in designing figure display units have been proposed. In the first part of the study, definitions such as action figure, bust, statue, premium format, legendary scale belonging to collection products have been made. In the second part, displaying examples have been given according to each collection product. In the last part of the study, design criteria for displaying of collection figures have been classified. In criterion classification; dimensioning the figures to their scales, layout in the interior, safety to external factors, illumination according to the light sources to be used in the exhibition and perception according to the colors and materials to be used on display surfaces have been examined as topics. These topics have been presented as design criteria that open to improvement.
