Summary/Abstract: This study aims to examine the spatial criteria that play a decisive role in the design of music studios through a typology-based approach. These criteria, classified under five main headings, spatial layout, acoustics, ergonomics, aesthetics, and technology, were evaluated seperately in the context of rehearsal, educational, and recording studios. Within each category, the key parameters guiding design were analyzed in line with the functional requirements, user profiles, and technical needs of the studios. It was observed that acoustic comfort holds critical importance across all studio types, whereas criteria such as ergonomics, aesthetics, and technological infrastructure vary depending on the level of professionalism of the studio. Aesthetic arrangements were associated with spatial integrity, institutional identity, user psychology, and their role in supporting the creative process. The findings were summarized through a comparative evaluation table for different studio typologies, which can serve as a practical reference for designers. In this respect, the study provides a holistic and conceptual perspective on music studio design, presents applicable criteria for diverse user scenarios, and offers a foundation for future research employing quantitative methodologies.
