Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the concept and process of blended learning, the key ingredients that form this process, and the models that have been elaborated during the past ten years. It also takes into consideration the possible definitions of this concept and the way they influence the students’ and teachers’ perception. The use of technology is put into discussion as well as the students’ increased responsibilities in the process of blended learning.
