Summary/Abstract: This article is part of a study of cultural and linguistic diversity in Côte d’Ivoire. In order to conduct a study on the peoples and languages spoken in Bouna we have advanced our research by focusing on phenomena of language contact and the cohabitation of peoples. This allowed us to do a linguistic and sociolinguistic analysis. The purpose of this article is to show that the cohabitation of individuals and peoples is at the same time the guarantee of economic, socio-cultural and linguistic development.
