Summary/Abstract: The paper presents Polish and Slovak scientific papers on intensification. This category has not been sufficiently described by Polish and Slovak linguists so far. The author adduces the results of scientific research on intensifiers against different parts of speech. Connections between semantic category of intensification and subjectivity and evaluation are also provided. The main aim of the presented study is to coapt the linguistic achievements in research on intensification.
