Summary/Abstract: The article explores the phenomenon of small homeland, its perception and presentation in Mira Luksha’s and Howard Phillips Lovecraft’s ouvre. The historical context of the region depicted in their works plays an important role in understanding problems of the past and the present, thoughts about the future and its prospects.
