Summary/Abstract: According to the results of 2011 Population and Housing Survey of the Turkish Statistical Institute, the percentage of population with at least one disability is 6,9%. The ratio was identified as 8,5 in Balıkesir Province. People with disabilities has a large proportion within the population. Therefore, urban area must be arranged due to their needs to fulfill their daily expectations and to make sure their social participation. Delivery of services as public transport and pedestrians must be organized suitably to secure them and they must have access to all services. Such regulations are civic actions. In Turkey, municipalities are required to make annual report and to publish them every year. In this study 2015, 2016 and 2017 annual reports of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality were examined in terms of awareness about people with disabilities.
