Summary/Abstract: In this paper, we will bring the practice of the rite of death according to tradition and contemporary times. The traditional way of practicing the rites of death contains many elements that have made this rite very complex and unique in its way of practicing, ranging from different beliefs to warning signs of death, death announcement, women's mourning and men's crying, organization and manner of burial, visit, mourning, etc. All these rites have been made by expressing a respect for the dead person. Death is one of the worst moments in human life, being the closing chapter of it. It conveys a lot of pain and at the same time love for the beloved one who will no longer be among the living persons. In addition, we will also describe the way this rite is organized today, providing information on how it is organized, how much those traditions have been preserved today, do they still cry for the dead, how much has changed and how much it has evolved until our days, as part of the spiritual heritage.
