Summary/Abstract: Suffixation and composition are two independent, productive word-formation processes by means of which the lexical funds of the Serbian and Russian languages respectively are actively built. However, both these languages allow for the combination of these processes, thus rendering such lexemes complex (two-theme) and derivative (suffixational) at the same time. The paper deals with the phenomenon of complex-derivational adjectives in a corpus of Russian and Serbian respectively, inquiries into the stems of words of such a morpheme composition and points to the role of zero-suffix as a formant.
