Summary/Abstract: The Dolby company specialists introduced through the "Baby Boom" system the fifth channel dedicated to bass frequencies (1976). The possibility of a two-dimensional localization of sound sources of the soundtrack requires the existence of at least two recording channels (stereo), in which the sound information can be submitted. Dr. Florin Gioroc brings into question the benefits of location treatment of the movie soundtrack that transforms the spectator from an outside witness of the cinema spectacle to a participant by immersing him in the sound universe of the movie, a universe that outside its physical reality is now an aesthetic element.
