Summary/Abstract: In this research, we tried to answer the question of whether there are statistically significant differences in the degree of expression of the personality of extraverting personality and openness to experiencing empathy on a sample of health workers in commercial shops, whether there is a relationship between personality traits openness to experience and empathy for health workers and workers in trade shops with regard to gender, age and work experience. The sample consists of 100 respondents (50 respondents were nurses and technicians - general hospital staff and 50 workers in trade shops. For the measurement of personality dimensions, openness to experience was used by a short version of the questionnaire of five plus two. To measure the empathic sensitivity of an individual, the Interoperability Indicator Index was used. The results indicate that there are no differences in the degree of expression of personality traits and components of empathy with health workers and workers in commercial activities. The conclusion is that there is a connection between personality dimensions, openness to experience (.222), and empathy variable. Differences in the degree of expression of personality traits, cognitive and affective aspects of empathy with health workers and workers in trade shops with respect to gender, age were not established. Differences in the degree of expression of personality and personality were found on the variable work experience.
