Summary/Abstract: This study is part of a larger project that aims to study methods of working with preschool and elementary school children that would support their creative thinking. Particular interest represent interdisciplinary connections and, in this concrtete article, connection between music and literature. One of the most important aims is finding non-standard solutions in building a music picture. For that end, conventional sounds must be rethought, also non-traditional sound elements (noise and onomatopœic occurences) when creating a creative sound score. Children are encouraged through that process to study sound nature and possibilities of various maerials and objects that surround them. This study was made with children ages 7-10 in an informal, esthetic environment.
