Summary/Abstract: Fałszerze pieprzu by Monika Sznajderman is an attempt to illustrate a trauma of third generation. By a description of her family’s experiences, she presents some events from the past – a tough childhood of her father, some specific family relations and the bygone polish-jewish era. In the article, the autor shows a category of trauma, which is related to the wartime experiences, failed family relationships and the issue of identity. The aim of this sketch is to interpret Fałszerze pieprzu from the posttrauma perspective, looking at the paintful background of the past, using the work of our memory.
