Summary/Abstract: Building a space of freedom, security and justice is a top priority at a European level. To this end, the European Union (EU) member states cooperate in the field of internal security. In this article, the author analyses the context of adopting and enforcing the new strategic document in the field of European security, namely the European Union Internal Security Strategy.
