Summary/Abstract: All ethical issues are involved in the person's characteristics, possibilities and interpretations. As one of the oldest philosophies, ethics has never ceased seeking the perfection in man and society, called the ideal. From here arise various ethical paradigms that have influenced culture. In cultural development, in terms of ethics, there are three determinant ethical and cultural paradigms in the philosophical history of Europe. The first one is that of ancient Greece, which builds society’s morality and culture upon the ethics of virtues; the second, the idea of freedom and tolerance, born in the works of the ethical thinkers of the 17th and 18th centuries; and the third, the philosophy of values and change as a search for knowledge, human deeds and implementation.
