Summary/Abstract: Serbian drama has given us plenty of literary pieces with historical and/or legendary themes. The research attention will be focused on the literary pieces that have a Serbian despotate, along with the despot Đurađ and his wife despotess Jerina Branković, as the main motives. An overview of the drama created in 20th century, with despot Đurađ and despotess Jerina Branković as dominant characters, will be given in this paper. Besides highlighting the roles of these drama characters, the relationship of the playwrights towards historical data and oral literature will be examined. During the creation of the drama overview in which these characters appear, only aesthetically relevant and representative dramas are considered.
