Summary/Abstract: The present report comments on and seeks answers to questions concerning education and training issues in a mixed-age group posed by practitioners – preschool teachers in a series of discussion meetings, national and regional teacher training courses. Teachers have methodological difficulties in organization and training and technical provision. Learning resources for “pure” age groups (I, II, III and Preparatory) are not suitable when working in a given teaching situation in a non-homogeneous group with different textbooks. It is also physically and mentally difficult for just one teacher to work with four subgroups of children aged 3 – 6.
