Summary/Abstract: The strategic studies and the studies in International Relations had a spectacular development after the fall of the Communist regime. Many institutions from the academic field, but also those ones representing the mass media and the policy-making structures have been interested in deepening the learning and training processes regarding strategic and security studies, as well as International Relations. The so-called “Bologna system” offers the pre-requisites for the harmonious and strong development of this kind of studies from the academic point of view. This paper analyses the evolution of the study of International Relations in Romania and emphasizes the major role of the human resources in this very important field of research.
