Summary/Abstract: Nursing Home in Kiełczewice Maryjskie, run by Congregation Servants of Jesus, provides around-the-clock nursing care for 65 intellectually disabled girls and women. A lot of changes have been carried out over the last 57 years. Personalistic principles of upbringing focused on needs of disabled people remains constant. The actions taken, both by sisters and secular staff, aim at ensuring the best comprehensive development of charges who are given the chance for docent and satisfactory life. The author of the article is dealing with the issues concerning: the organization of the institution, facilities and funds, staff and charges specification and performance of the Nursing Home.
