Summary/Abstract: Before we approach the actual problematique of the liability of the Romanian President, we have to mention that in the Romanian Constitution, a parliamentary protection regime of the President is preserved. According to the art. 84 para. 2 of the Constitution, the President enjoys immunity and legal unliability for the political opinions he/she expresses during and regarding his/her seat. The Constitution sends directly to the legal regime of the independence of opinions, applicable to the members of the Parliament.
