The new terrorism and its dilemmas. A foray in the terrorist reason

Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of this paper resides in the attempt of defining new terrorism and explaining the „rationality” that animates its perpetrators. Creating typologies and analyzing the terrorist motivation, both from sociological and psychological perspectives, represent the very first necessary steps in understanding the intensity of this phenomenon. From the individual to the group absorbing his identity into a wider and well defined structure, the new terrorism hunts our day to day social and political reality, urging the design of well balanced strategy which would take into account all the analyzed factors.
