Right to vote in the European Parliament elections

Summary/Abstract: The paper looks at selected issues related to the EU citizens’ electoral rights. The authors begins with presenting the legal basis and common rules of European election. Next, the question of voting by non-nationals in their host country is discussed, with particular attention given to the legal measures required to ensure that double voting (in the country of origin and in the host country) is not possible. In conlusion, some proposals aimed at improving legal framework of European election are offered.
