Summary/Abstract: The ethno-folklore research of Srebrenica that was done by the experts from the Department for Ethnology of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the beginning of 2009 resulted in, among other things, the collection of oral and poetic material that pointed to the general mind among the inhabitants of Srberenica, which is in the socio-economic, and therefore spiritual meaning, today almost completely ruined area. The substantive research of the designated area, which, three years after the first, serious and more comprehensive ethnological research of the designated space, was made by the author of this text, expanded the findings of the first field work with some valuable lyric-narrative songs. In addition to several tens of lyric units, in the repeated fieldwork, there is a ballad in which the main figure is the famous epic character Đerzelez Alija. It is this song that obliges us to find its possible variants, and then, by the method of different variant analysis, notice the job of an oral poet at the artefact. Another interesting feature of the recorded song is the fact that the type "at the passage" (epic-lyrical) has dealt with a famously figure within a special, epic genus. In the following article, we tried to find out how much the local oral poet intervened in the transmission of a poetic form, and what was of particular importance to him in the artifact while relying on tradition in comparison with the two other variants found songs. Comparative, analytical and interpretive methods were used in this paper.
