Summary/Abstract: The subject of interest in the article are the names of trees appearing in Europe, commonlyused in Polish elaborations. An analysis was conducted on the adjectives being a part ofthe binominal names, describing the species name (cedr atlantycki – Cedrus atlantica,jałowiec pospolity – Juniperus communis, sosna pospolita – Pinus sylvestris). The aim ofthis article is to create their formal and semantic typology.
