Summary/Abstract: We shall analyze the indeterminate quantity which depends on the semantic character of the terms whose quantity is estimated. What we had in view was to identify the high degree quantity in the way it is formed: as simple words (like adverbs) or groups of words (linguistic constructions). In order to better illustrate these marks we have grounded our analysis on examples borrowed from a corpus of proverbs and idiomatic phrases where some particular constructions make the enunciation expressive.
