Summary/Abstract: Programs of cultural needs usually address an abstract consumer of culture behind whom some particular interest is usually hidden. A project of research concerning cultural needs ought among other things to aim at defining the subjects of consumption, discovering his needs, and establishing and classifying cultural standards. Broadly speaking, the tasks of such a project include a study of the process of the articulation of cultural needs in each strategy of socialism, the growth of awareness concerning cultural needs in our social documents, and a description of the development of the cultural needs of each social group. The methodological framework to which this research would refer are the heroic, the individual, and the vital cultural patterns.
