On the Works on Inflexive Languages

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the process of using the author’s and his associates’ experiences on theworks of the academic Grammar of contemporary Polish language in creating inflexive Polishlanguage dictionaries from a small book publishing in 1993 to a great dictionary designedand published in digital form in 2001. It reports the stages of narrowing the classification anddescription of the Polish inflexion categories in a way that makes it a basis to shape it intoa computer program by the IT specialists from the AGH University of Science and Technologycooperating with the linguists; furthermore, it provides a sample of studies on expanding thedictionary with a multi-segment lexical units, meaning Polish idioms.
