Summary/Abstract: The article analyses principles related to the beginning of the administrative procedure in the Slovak Republic, namely disposition principle, ex offo principle and principle of oportunity. It methodically analyses advantages of those principles in comparison with administrative procedure on administrative delicts. The aim is to give the answer to which of the principles is the best suitable and the legislator should preferably use. Alongside, it focuses on related topics such as what does it mean to know when an administrative offence was committed, a notification on administrative offence and the right of the prosecutor to begin proceedings when administrative body is inactive although it should begin ex offo proceedings.
