Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the topic of “mass settlement” which is a form of amicable solution of class actions. It will introduce the concept of class actions and current legal position. Second part of the paper is devoted to the essentials of mass settlement – whether there are any differences between mass and classic settlement. Differences will be demonstrated on the U.S. system of mass settlement and on chosen European legislations.
