Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the implementation of EU procedural directive, both in its original version 2005/85/ES and revised version 2013/32/EU. The main perspective is the comparison between implementation in the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic. The comparison was done on the issues concerning application for international protection, designation of safe countries of origin and corresponding refusal to grant the protection and – in case of the Czech law – also the characteristics of the available procedural redress including appeals. The comparison was done in relation to national implementing rules as well as subsequent case-law.
