Acquisitions of commercial companies and the issue of the succession to litigation under Polish and Slovak judicature

Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the issues of the succession to litigation in the case of mergers of companies. The main subject refers to the problem of universal succession in civil proceedings under Polish and Slovak law and judicature. Selected judicial decisions of Polish and Slovak courts concerning this matter were discussed in this paper. The most important similarities and differences in these two legal orders were highlighted on the basis of analysis of judicial decisions.
