Summary/Abstract: In the period when the rule of the Duchy of Stettin was taken over by Johann Friedrich (1569–1600), the ruler’s main residence in Stettin underwent a remodelling. After the modernisation works had ended, the duke decided to reform the organisation of the court on the basis of German court ordinances implemented primarily in the court of the Elector of Brandenburg, Saxony, and Mecklenburg. This is why the aim of the paper is to organise the current body of knowledge concerning court officials in Pomerania, present the evolution of their posts, and compare the regulations introduced in the Duchy to those implemented in German courts on the basis of preserved archival material.
