Summary/Abstract: The key objective of basic artistic development is to expand pupils' creative, psychic and physical capacities, to give artistic and aesthetic competence as well as the basics of moral, socio-cultural and public maturity, to develop sensitive, reasoning, creative and penetrating person conscious of art and its' active user. Nevertheless it is noticeable that pupils of V-VII grades stop paint¬ing, lose will in taking part in creative activities, become too self critical; a negative direction is being taken in the motivation of learning arts - the factor determining learn¬ing results. The learning motivation could be related not only with the peculiarities of social environment, including everything that the pupil thinks of the rea¬sons of her / his successful/un successful learning results, with how the parents, teachers and friends valuate her / his learning and how they tolerate her / his indepen¬dence and individuality. The learning motivation, atti¬tudes towards learning and emotional relations with the learning start developing in the family. If the parents appreciate the role of the school, this evaluation influ¬ences children's attitude towards learning.
