Wooden churches from Hunedoara County, Mureş Valley

Summary/Abstract: After studying of wooden churches from Hunedoara County, Mureş Valley, we understand that it’s necessary to present the state of conservation of these monuments. The problems encountered at researched churches are the effects of different causes, including those with major impact: biological deterioration, human intervention and humidity effects. After the analysis of state of conservation of these monuments, we specified the interventions that need to be made at all buildings components, emphasizing in particular emergency measures that can’t wait. To save this monuments how are representative for wooden architecture of this area is necessary to establish certain specialized committees and teams, of which goal is to save integral monument, not only partially – how been until now at almost all the churches studied.
