Summary/Abstract: For philosophy unlike other scientific disciplines the truth is one of explicit topics. The term truth must be differentiated from the term veracity, from the term criterion of veracity. We can define it based on certain cognitive intentional relation. The criterion of veracity relates directly to the content of knowing. The issue of truth is opened again and again, it is always required to connect thinking and sensuality (eidetic and empiric, general and unique) namely by a specific act of understanding. The primary substantiation of the scientific work is the service for the revealed truth and not the usefulness of results. The expression “truth” itself in science often means compatibility with what is generally accepted and acknowledged in a scientific community. We do not only state that a statement is true, we also require it. The statement “shall be” true, whether as a matter of fact it is or not. When searching for the truth the moment of guarantee and trust is necessary present, therefore risks relate to handing the truth over. Thinking about the truth necessarily relates to the question, what it means to be (and not to be) and relation between constant and changing.
