Summary/Abstract: The Gospels contain a place fully dedicated to the Sin against the Holy Ghost, which is particularly surprising. It is the only sin about which Jesus Christ clearly states that it will never be forgiven, neither presently, nor in the future, that it is absolutely and unconditionally unforgivable. The paragraph is found in all the Synoptic Gospels (Mt. XII, 24-33; Mc. III, 28-30; Lc. XII, 10), but the most extensive and clear formulation is found in the Gospel of Matthew (XII, 24-32). Why must this sin make a clear and absolute exception from divine mercy and forgiveness? The Text here will try to answer this question.
