Summary/Abstract: Stemming from cultivation theory, this article analyzes film patterns relating to household responsibilities ascribed to mothers and fathers in Romanian films. The comparative study aims to highlight if, and to what degree, patterns identified in Romanian films launched in the 1970-1980 time period resemble those used in films launched in 2005-2015, with a focus on household responsibilities, raising children, and financial contribution. The findings are part of a larger doctoral research focused on determining family dynamics patterns in Romanian films.
